About the Luthier

I began building acoustic guitars as a hobby while still working as an IT specialist.  After retiring in 2017, I began devoting more time to this “hobby” as I still refer to it. Since that time I have built guitars for myself, family, and friends. To date I have built 17 guitars (roughly 2 per year). I am entirely self taught using the vast amount of resources available on the internet. I do have a background in woodworking as my grandfather was a furniture maker by trade. I learned several woodworking and finishing techniques hanging around in my grandfathers shop as a young boy. I still have some of his hand tools in my own shop.
